Einar worked hard on the weekend to help me put the downstairs to rights. And yesterday and today, we finished what it is possible to do. And I am pleased with the results. :) I hope our guests will be, too.

Of course, most of them won't even know that anything had been done, but WE'LL know, and I will be silently smiling inside.

The last couple of days I have been improving, sort of. I still get tired and have to go lay down for awhile. I still get sore, too. But the amount of time I can be up and walking is increasing. I can feel my stamina increasing. It is a good feeling. :)

The days are getting longer. Brynja says that Bjartur is already starting to waken earlier in the morning (because it gets brighter earlier); I just wonder how he's gonna handle it over here when they come for then it won't be getting dark at all! I reckon he'll just collapse into sleep when he can no longer keep his eyes open, despite the light!

The last couple of days we've had mild weather, a little rainy but not very heavy - perfect conditions for Spring to get a jump start. hehe Cross fingers that we've seen the last of the below-freezing temps and snow showers. Both can still happen. After all, this is still early April! But I'm hoping that we've seen the last of such weather for this year, at least until December.

We enjoyed a surprise visit from Einar's brother Oli and his wife Stina on Saturday. That was fun! and a nice break from tasks that day. Then today we had a whirlwind 10 minute visit from his sister, Frida; she, like Goldilocks, tried out several chairs before finding the right one - then she took it away to her father. I hope he will like it. :)
